Mr. Alam is a Managing Director in Ares Asia, where he focuses on credit. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Alam was a Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director - Investments at PT Rajawali Corp, Indonesia. Previously, Mr. Alam was the Co-Head of the Asia-Pacific Financing Group at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, analysis and investing across the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Mr. Alam held various roles at Credit Suisse A.G. Mr. Alam began his finance career as an Assistant Manager on the Investment Banking Team at Citibank, NA Pakistan. Mr. Alam holds a B.B.A., with honors and an M.B.A. from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Finance and Economics.
