Harris Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman is a Vice President and Counsel (EU Credit) in the Ares Legal Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Mr. Kaufman was an Associate at Simpson, Thacher and Bartlett LLP, where he focused on private and public acquisitions and disposals as well as general corporate matters. Previously, Mr. Kaufman worked in the London and Hong Kong offices of Clifford Chance LLP. Mr. Kaufman is a member of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association's Legal and Accounting Committee. Mr. Kaufman holds an L.L.B. (First Class Hons) from the University of Bristol in Law. He is admitted to practice law in England and Wales.
