Mr. Chagan is a Partner and Head of Ares Global Capital Solutions Group in the Corporate Accounting Group of the Ares Finance and Accounting Department. Aditioanlly, he serves as a member of the Ares Management Capital Markets Investment Committee. Mr. Chagan leads the Ares Global Capital Solutions Group to standardize and centralize the global banking relationships and capital market activities. He currently manages the global banking relationships, oversees capital allocations, is involved in the negotiations and underwriting of various private and public capital markets activities and also directs hedging strategies and execution across platforms. Prior to joining Ares in 2018, Mr. Chagan was a Director at KKR where he was the Head of the Corporate Finance group, focusing on hedging and liability management. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer of KKR Income Opportunities Fund. Previously, Mr. Chagan worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving a variety of clients in the investment management industry. In addition, Mr. Chagan was in the banking industry in South Africa. Mr. Chagan holds B.Com. (Hons) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa in Commerce.
