Mr. Phillips is a Managing Director and Head of the East Region, North America Relationship Management in the Ares Global Client Solutions Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2015, Mr. Phillips was a Vice President at BNP Paribas, where he was a senior member in the Capital Introductions Group. Previously, he was a Vice President at Nexar Capital (formerly Ermitage and later acquired by UBP Asset Management), a hedge fund-of-funds, as an investment analyst focused on credit and relative value strategies. In addition, Mr. Phillips was an Assistant Vice President at Tremont Capital in the Investment Management Group. Mr. Phillips holds a B.S. from Providence College in Finance.
