Mr. Amaratunga is a Principal in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on European direct lending, including portfolio management. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Mr. Amaratunga was a Vice President in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners, where he focused on restructuring and debt advisory transactions. Previously, Mr. Amaratunga was an Associate Director at UBS, where he focused on financing for financial sponsors and corporations. Mr. Amaratunga holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from University College London in Economics and Statistics and an M.Sc. from Imperial College London in Finance.
