Mr. Shepherd is a Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Portfolio Management in the Ares Secondaries Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Shepherd was the Senior Director of Portfolio Management and Strategy at The RMR Group, Inc., where he developed and oversaw the portfolio management team responsible for maximizing the performance and value of the firm's assets across various real estate sectors. Previously, Mr. Shepherd was the Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at STAG Industrial, Inc., where he focused on capital markets transactions and investor relations. Mr. Shepherd holds a B.S. from the University of Vermont in Business Administration and Finance.
