Mr. Sanford is a Managing Director in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on U.S. industrial real estate development and construction management. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Principal at Black Creek Group, where he led all turnkey delivery, entitlement and permitting efforts for industrial developments throughout the firm's Western primary markets. Previously, Mr. Sanford served as a Development Director at Hillwood, where he oversaw the completion of industrial developments throughout the Inland Empire, CA. In addition, he worked for Snyder Langston, where he managed the construction of various projects and product types including manufacturing facilities, corporate office build-to-suits, luxury hotels and school facilities. Additionally, Mr. Sanford served as the lead estimator for their special projects division. Mr. Sanford is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) for the SoCal and Inland Empire chapters, where he is a Young Professionals Group (YGP) Alumni and is also involved in the NAIOP National Forums program. Mr. Sanford holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California in Global Business and International Relations.
