James Vena

Mr. Vena is a Principal in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on U.S. direct lending. Prior to joining Ares in 2019, Mr. Vena was an Associate in the U.S. Private Capital Group at BlackRock, Inc., where he focused on evaluating and executing middle market private credit investments. Previously, Mr. Vena worked in the Merchant Banking Group at BNP Paribas. He holds a B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Delaware in Finance and Marketing.
