Mr. Phillips is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Ares Management Corporation. He serves on the Ares Executive Management Committee and the Ares Enterprise Risk Committee. Prior to this, he served as Chief Accounting Officer from January 2016 to July 2021. Mr. Phillips also serves as Chief Financial Officer of AACT. Prior to joining Ares in 2016, Mr. Phillips was a Partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he focused on financial services and asset management assurance and advisory services. Mr. Phillips was a member of the board of directors of Safe & Sound, a not-for-profit dedicated to the strengthening of families and ending child abuse from 2010 until 2021 and is currently a member of the board of directors of School On Wheels, a not-for-profit providing tutoring and mentoring to students experiencing homelessness. Mr. Phillips holds a B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Accounting. Mr. Phillips holds a Certified Public Accountant license (inactive) in the State of California.
