Mr. Latier is a Managing Director in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on U.S. industrial real estate equity portfolio management. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager at Black Creek Group, where he led the firm's Build-to-Core industrial development partnerships. As Portfolio Manager for the Build-to-Core partnerships, he oversaw the platform's investments, strategy, dispositions, investor relations, and financial reporting. Previously, he was an Analyst at Prologis, where he was responsible for capital markets analysis, structuring debt transactions and developing financing strategies. Mr. Latier is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) where he serves on the Industrial Development Forum, as mentor in the Developing Leaders program, and on the Editorial Board for NAIOP's Development Magazine. In 2019, he was elected to NAIOP Research Foundation Visionaries Program for rising industry leaders, 40 years of age and under. Mr. Latier also serves on the International Advisory Board for the University of Colorado Real Estate Center, where he mentors students and guest lectures courses on real estate investment trusts and real estate finance. Mr. Latier holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance.
