Joel Kress

Mr. Kress is a Managing Director in the Ares Finance and Accounting Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Kress was Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer of Pomona Investment Fund, a registered, continuously offered, nontraded closed-end fund that invested in an actively managed portfolio of private equity secondaries. Previously, he was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at CION Investments, a manager and distributor of alternative investment solutions for the mass affluent. In addition, he was a Corporate Attorney at Fried Frank LLP in London and New York. Mr. Kress holds a B.A. from Connecticut College in Government and a J.D. from Boston University.
