Mr. Tomlinson is a Managing Director for the Ares Net Lease strategy, which focuses on net lease and related investments that span the Ares Alternative Credit Group and Ares Real Estate platforms. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Mr. Tomlinson was a Partner at Apollo Global Management, where he helped build and run the Apollo Net Lease Capital Corporation. Previously, Mr. Tomlinson was the SVP of Acquisitions at Realty Income Corporation. In addition, Mr. Tomlinson was a Senior Acquisitions Director at Cole Capital, a non-traded real estate investment trust. Previously, he worked at Merrill Lynch Capital in the Corporate Finance Group. He began his career at Realty Income and worked in a variety of capacities, including as an Acquisitions Director and Real Estate Portfolio Manager. Mr. Tomlinson holds a B.A. from Point Loma Nazarene University in Philosophy and Continued Studies at University of California San Diego with a focus on Finance. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
