John Chek

Mr. Chek is a Managing Director in the Ares Technology and Information Security Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Chek was a Vice President in the Information Technology Department at General Atlantic, where he was responsible for application development. Previously, Mr. Chek was a Principal at Carlyle, where he led technology for Global Credit, CRM, and Enterprise Architecture. Mr. Chek holds a B.S., summa cum laude, from DeVry University in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Computer Science.
