Mr. Gebauer is a Partner in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on European direct lending and covers the DACH, Benelux and CEE markets. Mr. Gebauer also is a member of the Ares Credit Group's European Direct Lending Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2009, he was Head of the Leveraged Finance team at Dresdner Kleinwort, where he focused on structuring and lead arranging deals within the German-speaking region. Previously, Mr. Gebauer established the German branch and acted as the Head of the Acquisition Finance Team of Allied Irish Banks in Frankfurt, where he focused on underwriting and lead arranging business within the German small/mid-cap market. In addition, he was Team Head in the Leveraged Finance Group at Commerzbank. Mr. Gebauer holds a Diplom-Betriebswirt VWA (B.B.A.) from VWA Essen in Business Administration, a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Paderborn in Economics and an M.B.A. (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the University of Dortmund and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
