Mr. Steele is a Partner in Ares Digital Infrastructure. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Steele was the Global President of GCP and responsible for the management and oversight of its global strategy, investments and operations. He led several of GCP's strategic initiatives and transactions, including its entry into Europe and the sale of its first three US funds to Blackstone in 2019, as well as its acquisition by Ares. Mr. Steele has nearly two decades of experience in the private equity industry, with a particular emphasis on private and public mergers and acquisition, joint ventures and financing. Previously, he was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis based in London, where he focused on private equity mergers and acquisitions (public and private). In addition, he was a Partner at Freshfields in London. Mr. Steele holds an LL.B. and a B.Com. from Bond University in Australia in Finance.
