Mr. Shah is a Managing Director in Ares Asia, where he focuses on Asia portfolio management. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Mr. Shah worked as an Executive Director at SSG Group on the Asset Management Team, where he focused on ongoing asset management of all the investments within the fund's portfolios across Asia. Previously, Mr. Shah was a Senior Credit Officer with Citibank in Hong Kong, where he managed the bank's stressed and distressed assets across the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Mr. Shah worked with Barclays Bank Plc as a sector head on the Risk Management Team, managing large investment banking clients in India. Mr. Shah began his career with Citibank, where he worked on various transaction services and treasury products before taking up the role of Independent Credit Officer, where he was responsible for approving large corporate credits in India based out of Mumbai. Mr. Shah holds a B.Com. from the University of Mumbai in Commerce and an M.B.A. from the University of Mumbai Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. Mr. Shah is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI).
