Mr. Mehlman is a Partner in the Ares Secondaries Group, where he focuses on real estate secondaries. He also serves as a member of the Ares Secondaries Group's Infrastructure and Real Estate Investment Committees. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Partner in the Landmark Partners Real Estate Group, where he focused on transaction origination, valuation and negotiation of real estate secondary transactions and primary fund investments. Previously, Mr. Mehlman was a Vice President at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, where he managed a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate investments owned by Prime Property Fund, the firm's flagship open-end real estate fund. Mr. Mehlman is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association and has taught courses on portfolio asset management for Johns Hopkins University and other institutions. He is a member of the Development Committee of the Mark Twain House & Museum. Mr. Mehlman holds a B.A. in Visual and Environmental Studies and a M.Arch. from Harvard University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
