Mr. Bulakul is a Vice President in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on Asia credit. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Mr. Bulakul was an Investor on the Asia team at L Catterton, where he focused on structured investments across Asia. Previously, Mr. Bulakul was a Senior Analyst in investment banking at Citi, based in Singapore. Mr. Bulakul serves on the boards of Ares Management Asia (Thailand) Limited, Alpha Capital Asset Management Co., Ltd., and Siam Power Generation Public Company Limited. Mr. Bulakul holds a B.A., with honors, from Amherst College in Economics and an M.B.A., with honors, with a dual major in Management, and Business, Energy, Environment & Sustainability from The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, where he serves as an Alumni Fellow for the Asia Executive Board. He also attended The Hotchkiss School, where he serves on the Alumni Association for Asia.
