Partner, Chief Information Officer and Head of Technology
Mr. Kasarabada is a Partner, Chief Information Officer and Head of Technology in the Ares Technology and Information Security Group. He also serves on the Ares Operating Committee. Mr. Kasarabada has over 27 years of leadership experience in technology, data management, cybersecurity, and operations across global financial institutions. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Kasarabada was the Chief Information Officer at Nuveen, the asset management subsidiary of TIAA, and the Chief Technology Officer at Lazard. Previously, Mr. Kasarabada spent 11 years at BlackRock in several leadership roles across both the public and private ecosystem, including as the Head of Alternatives Technology focused on liquid and illiquid asset classes. Mr. Kasarabada serves on the board of The City Tutors, a New York City-based nonprofit providing free, one-on-one tutoring and career mentoring to thousands of learners of all ages. In addition, Mr. Kasarabada sits on the board of the AI for the Planet Alliance - a leading Advisory Board to help mobilize broader climate and AI ecosystem under the auspices of the United Nations. He holds a B.Eng. from Rohilkhand University in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University in Finance.
