Lainie Minnick

Ms. Minnick is a Partner and Head of U.S. Debt Capital Markets in Ares Real Estate, where she focuses on U.S. real estate portfolio management. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, she was a Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc., an investment platform sponsored by Black Creek Group. In this role, Ms. Minnick was responsible for overseeing Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc.'s portfolio strategy and performance, debt capital markets initiatives, financial reporting and forecasting, treasury management, the application of the fund's net asset value (NAV) policies and procedures, accounting, tax compliance, and other related areas of responsibilities. Additionally, as Head of Debt Capital Markets for Black Creek Group, she oversaw debt capital markets across the firm. Previously, she was a Project Executive for Urban Villages, Inc. a Denver-based real estate development firm. In addition, she was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, working exclusively with Whitehall Funds, a series of global real estate opportunity funds and was responsible for executing real estate related financing transactions throughout the U.S. and Europe. Ms. Minnick began her career at Archon Group, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, where she was responsible for real estate related portfolio management and loan asset management efforts. Ms. Minnick holds a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
